Multiple sockets for indoor use provide additional power connections wherever existing wall sockets are not sufficient or are difficult to reach. In addition to classic power strips, surface-mounted socket blocks, table sockets and corner power strips offer particularly practical options for the kitchen, office, home office, workshop or living area. Surface-mounted sockets can be mounted on worktops, desks or furniture surfaces, for example, and provide multiple connections directly at the desired location. Corner power strips, on the other hand, use free angles and niches to save space and are suitable for kitchen worktops or work areas, among other things. In addition to providing power, models with an integrated light switch can also be used to conveniently switch connected lighting. Extension cables with individual sockets offer even more flexibility because the sockets are not arranged directly next to each other and devices that are physically distant from each other can therefore be easily connected.

 

Even more versatile are table sockets with USB ports or wireless chargers, which combine classic power connections with modern charging options. Integrated USB ports allow compatible smartphones, tablets, headphones and other mobile devices to be charged directly via USB cable without occupying an additional slot with a separate charging adapter. A wireless charger even enables wireless charging for compatible devices: the smartphone is simply placed on the designated charging surface and the charging process starts without an additional charging cable. This creates a central and tidy power and charging station, especially on desks, bedside tables, worktops or in meeting areas. Depending on the version, several protective contact sockets and charging ports are available at the same time, so that different electrical and mobile devices can be supplied with energy in a central location.

 

More comfort and safety with modern multiple sockets

Switchable multiple sockets and power strips enable convenient control of connected electrical devices. Models with individual switching are particularly practical, in which each slot can be switched on and off separately using its own switch. For example, computers, monitors, printers, lights or entertainment electronics can be disconnected from the power independently without having to pull the power plug every time. If the power strip also has a central ON/OFF main switch, all connected devices can be switched off together if necessary. Power strips with surge protection are also available for sensitive electronics. The integrated protection mechanism limits short-term voltage peaks and helps protect connected devices from the damage caused by them. Such overvoltages can arise, for example, from switching processes in the power grid or the indirect effects of lightning events. A multiple socket with surge protection can be a useful addition, especially for computers, televisions, monitors, routers and other sensitive electronics.

 

If you want to integrate additional slots into furniture or work surfaces as inconspicuously as possible, retractable sockets are a particularly space-saving and modern solution. These socket units are installed, for example, in desks, kitchen worktops or other suitable furniture surfaces and remain largely hidden when not in use. Depending on the design, the unit can only be pulled out, raised or folded out when power is required. It can then be sunk back into the surface, keeping work and table surfaces tidy and avoiding annoying power strips. Retractable multiple sockets are available in different designs and, in addition to classic slots, can also offer USB charging ports or other charging functions. This makes them particularly suitable for modern kitchens, offices, home office workplaces and living areas in which a functional power supply is to be combined with a discreet and space-saving design.
